June 29 - July 11, 2026

The Museum of Flight

Interested students will visit the Museum of Flight as a group on July 2nd.

From the Museum of Flight website: "The Museum of Flight is the largest independent, non-profit air and space museum in the world! With over 130 aircraft and spacecraft, tens of thousands of artifacts, millions of rare photographs, dozens of exhibits and experiences and a world-class library, the Museum and its people bring humankind's incredible history of flight to life".

Discovery Park

Interested students will visit Discovery Park as a group on July 4th.

From the Discovery Park website: "Discovery Park is Seattle's largest park, a 560-acre natural area occupying most of the former Fort Lawton site. Situated on Magnolia Bluff overlooking Puget Sound, Discovery Park boasts spectacular views of both the Cascade and the Olympic Mountain ranges. The secluded site includes two miles of protected tidal beaches as well as open meadow lands, dramatic sea cliffs, forest groves, active dunes, thickets and streams".

CENPA Tour

The Center for Experimental Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics (CENPA) will host a CENPA facility tour and lunch for students from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7th.

From the CENPA website: "CENPA supports a broad program of experimental physics research in fundamental symmetries, neutrinos, muons, axions, and non-Newtonian gravitation. CENPA is home to the Axion Dark Matter eXperiment (ADMX), the Eöt-Wash suite of precision “tabletop” experiments, the unique Project-8 measurement of the neutrino mass, and a precision measurement of the He-6 beta decay spectrum using our 9-MV Tandem Van de Graaff Accelerator. The latter two experiments are exploiting a unique and new technique called cyclotron resonance emission spectroscopy (CRES)".

Bainbridge Island

Interested students will visit Bainbridge Island as a group on July 11th.

From the Visit Bainbridge Island website: "Truly the jewel of Puget Sound, Bainbridge Island has something for everyone. Family-friendly parks and trails, fantastic local arts and cultural performances, magnificent food and wine, and nearly endless ways to enjoy the water, we encourage you to spend a day or a week getting to know our island".
