Agnieszka Sorensen Receives NSF CAREER Award

The INT congratulates Agnieszka Sorensen, a former INT Postdoctoral Fellow, on receiving a prestigious NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award.

Sorensen, now an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University and FRIB, received the award for her project, “Microscopic Transport, Machine Learning, and Bayesian Analysis for Extracting the Dense Nuclear Matter Equation of State from Heavy-Ion Collisions at RHIC and FRIB.” Her research combines theoretical modeling of heavy-ion collisions with modern machine-learning and Bayesian methods to constrain the properties of dense nuclear matter.

The CAREER Award recognizes outstanding early-career faculty and supports the integration of innovative research and education. The INT is delighted to see Agnieszka’s contributions to nuclear theory recognized with this honor and congratulates her on this achievement.
