The Department of Physics at Old Dominion University (ODU) and the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab) are seeking an outstanding theoretical physicist in the field of Quantum Chromodynamics and hadron and nuclear physics. The tenure-track appointment at ODU will be made at the Assistant Professor level with an anticipated start date of Fall 2022. The successful candidate will also hold a joint appointment as a staff member of the Jefferson Lab Theory Center. A PhD or equivalent in theoretical nuclear/hadronic or particle physics or a closely-related field is required. Postdoctoral experience is strongly preferred.
