Cecilia Lunardini’s homepage

Welcome!

This page presents my professional activity as a theoretical physicist.  It also includes a collection of links and other material relevant  to my work.

I live and work in Seattle, where I am a five years fellow at the Institute for Nuclear Theory. At the same time, I also have an appointment as research assistant professor in  the physics department of the University of Washington. My main interests are in astroparticle physics and phenomenology of elementary particle physics.  I work mostly on the phenomenon of neutrino oscillations and other properties of the neutrino.  In particular, I have been studying the physics of neutrinos from stellar collapse (supernovae) and, in parallel, the effects of possible non-standard neutrino-matter interactions on solar and atmospheric neutrinos.   I am also interested in applications of particle physics to cosmology.   Recently, I have calculated the diffuse flux of neutrinos from cosmological supernovae, and I am planning to expand this work further.
